Two of the primary things educators can and arguably should be doing with generative artificial intelligence (AI) technologies today are:
Sharing STORIES about how we have and are using AI
Taking time to personally PLAY with different AI tools, especially on topics about which we have some expertise
This are the purposes of "AI PlayDates:"
To provide opportunities to both share and listen to stories of AI use
To serve as a "personal catalyst" which empowers us to PLAY WITH and therefore learn more about specific AI models and use cases
The "EdTech PlayDate" model , on which these "AI PlayDate" events are based, has a rich history. For more background, check out the ABOUT page of the EdTechPlayDateCLT website. Also check out the BACKSTORY page of the EdTech Playdate OKC website. Also check out "past events" on our EVENTS page.
